Evelina Reiter
Evelina Reiters exhibition invites us to examine the everyday through this lens. With a keen sense of color, form, and perspective, she captures fleeting moments and interactions of urban life on her canvases. In her paintings, the gray ground becomes the stage for scenes where her protagonists boldly juggle risk and opportunity. The outcome—a true matter of chance: they run, dance, fall, and rise again, undeterred by the possibility of failure. Taking two steps at a time becomes a symbol for the interplay of courage, coincidence, and uncertainty. Reiters creative process begins on a small scale: initial sketches on paper lay the foundation for the dynamic movements and compositions of her works. Like a framework, the lines give direction and expression to her figures. Grounded by gray fields and intentional voids, these spaces offer structure and openness in equal measure.
