Enrico Bach's compositions are characterized by the division of the pictorial space into two halves. A picture-within-a-picture principle in which each side stands on its own and yet corresponds with the other half. The layered areas of color and pattern thus create the illusion of a more or less deep space. At the same time, Bach leaves behind the conventional compositional pattern of a centered motif: the picture's edge, ground and interfaces become depth-giving design levels.

Nina Laaf deals with strategies of irritation, alienation as well as context shifting and investigates material textures and their limits. 
Her latest works are characterised by a play between presence and absence and the question of what constitutes the actual, the essential, the original in colour and form.

Hirofumi Fujiwara's figures, initially modeled in clay, stand or sit in space, at rest in themselves with a contemplative gaze directed into the indefinite. They seem youthful yet ageless, androgynous and detached from any stereotypes – isolated from this world, yet anchored entirely in the moment.

Changxiao Wang investigates the relationship between color perception, memory and emotional impact in his paintings. Starting from everyday smartphone images, he develops a distinctive visual language by reducing the images to tonal values and working with free color compositions. His works shift between representation and abstraction. Carefully balanced color contrasts and fluid transitions create intense visual experiences that linger in memory. Wang questions our visual habits and reveals how perception is shaped by stored images and personal recollection.

Evelina Reiter’s exhibition invites us to examine the everyday through this lens. With a keen sense of color, form, and perspective, she captures fleeting moments and interactions of urban life on her canvases. In her paintings, the gray ground becomes the stage for scenes where her protagonists boldly juggle risk and opportunity. The outcome—a true matter of chance: they run, dance, fall, and rise again, undeterred by the possibility of failure. Taking two steps at a time becomes a symbol for the interplay of courage, coincidence, and uncertainty. Reiter’s creative process begins on a small scale: initial sketches on paper lay the foundation for the dynamic movements and compositions of her works. Like a framework, the lines give direction and expression to her figures. Grounded by gray fields and intentional voids, these spaces offer structure and openness in equal measure.
