Artist Statement
As an artist, my work is a reflection of my fascination with the interplay between the conscious and subconscious mind. I am particularly interested in exploring how our subconscious thoughts and feelings influence our daily activities and experiences. In my artistic practice, I seek to regenerate the mundane and routine activities of
daily life by placing them in fictional spaces under the influence of the subconscious mind. Through my art, I aim to provide a fresh perspective on familiar activities, allowing the viewer to see them in a new light and to experience them in a more meaningful way.

I believe that our subconscious mind holds a wealth of untapped creativity and imagination, and I strive to tap into this rich inner world through my art. By delving into the depths of the subconscious, I aim to create works that are both thoughtprovoking and visually stimulating.

My artistic process is intuitive and fluid, allowing me to follow my creative impulses and allow the work to take shape organically. I often work with a variety of materials and techniques, including painting, drawing, and digital media, in order to create immersive and dynamic fictional spaces that bring the viewer on a journey of the mind.

Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to offer a space for contemplation and reflection, where viewers can engage with their own subconscious thoughts and feelings, and find new ways to connect with the world around them.

About us

Gallery profile

GESCHWISTERRRAUM supports cultural exchange between Africa and Germany, with a focus on the visual arts as an open space for autodidacts, informally and formally trained artists.

Under the umbrella of GESCHWISTERRAUM gGmbH, GESCHWISTERRAUM/Welfenstrasse primarily offers living, working and exhibition space for guest artists. The exhibition space in Welfenstrasse also offers opportunities for exhibitions by art students and artists proposed by the guest artists. The main focus of GESCHWISTERRAUM/Kriegsstrasse is gallery work with solo and group exhibitions as well as the organization of participation in national and international art fairs. An extensive accompanying program with readings, discussions and workshops takes place at both locations.

With this opportunity for international artist exchange through exhibitions, artist residencies and classic gallery work, the predecessors, mm projects, theartape and gray+gray archive, have now found their final form after almost 10 years of exhibition and trade fair activity, as an invitation to participate in and support this dialog.
