Sylvestre Gauvrit
Sylvestre Gauvrit, born in Paris in 1977, has always had a natural inclination towards sculpture and can always be found with tools in hand and a vivid imagination. He trained at the Accademia Belle Arti in Carrara, where he perfected his skills in carving monumental marble pieces in various institutional art studios in Pietrasanta. He eventually set up his own studio to create his unique sculptures, which today adorn both public and private collections in major cultural centres around the world, including Paris, London, Rome, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Dubai.
Sylvestre Gauvrit's works are not ephemeral phenomena, but energetic manifestations comparable to classical music. Abstract art is subtle and requires time to grasp, ponder and feel the emotions it contains. By integrating the elements of nature into his art, he creates a balanced relationship between positivity and negativity. His artworks form a circle of energy that harmonises the beauty of life on earth with the destructive forces and sadness of a part of humanity.
