Philippine Henry de Frahan

The main idea of my work is to give a second life to books, secretly hoping that the mixture of literary will work. Just as if the integration of different stories can give birth to a new work, but sculptural this time.
I build a movement, a rhythm. I transform the book and associate light with it until a new story comes to life.
I also wonder about the relationship to objects. The consumer society limits the use of things in time and in their destination. Bringing forgotten books back to life, giving them a new meaning is a deliberate act of upcycling.

Nemo Jantzen

NEMO JANTZEN
(b. 1970, The Hague)

A Lifetime Immersed in Art and Shaped by Artistic Legacy

Nemo Jantzen's artistic destiny was shaped from childhood in the vibrant studio of his uncle, Johnn Bakker - the celebrated Dutch comic artist behind Pep magazine's iconic 1960s superhero parody Blook and the modernist Dante adaptation Dan Teal. Surrounded by bold inked lines and pop-art energy, young Nemo absorbed the power of visual storytelling from one of The Hague's most creative minds.
From the ink-stained floors of his uncle's studio to the sun-drenched walls of his Barcelona atelier, Nemo Jantzen's life has been a continuous dialogue between artistic heritage and bold innovation.

Ink In His Veins
As a wide-eyed child in The Hague, Nemo learned ,  "Art wasn't just something you made - it was a way of seeing." In the studio of his uncle he discovered:

The power of bold graphic storytelling
The rebellious spirit of 1960s pop culture
The impact of turning ideas into visual messages
From Comics to Billboards
This early mentorship blossomed into Nemo's first professional work as an Antwerp billboard painter. Nemo’s apprenticeship reached new heights when he began painting colossal billboards for Antwerp’s vibrant cinema scene. In an era before digital printing, these hand-painted marvels—some spanning multiple stories—were the city’s visual heartbeat, advertising everything from Hollywood blockbusters to avant-garde European films. Translating intimate film narratives into bold, immediate visuals taught Nemo how gesture and color communicate emotion at 30 feet tall.

The Rotterdam Crucible
Formal training at the prestigious RTO Art Academy refined his raw talent and where he mastered design, photography, and fine arts - Nemo embarked on a 25-year creative odyssey that would take his work from local exhibitions to international acclaim.

The Artist's Signature

Nemo's striking contemporary works are immediately recognizable for their:

Electrifying use of color that seems to radiate light
Rich, tactile textures inviting closer inspection
Dynamic compositions that balance energy with contemporary elegance

Today, Nemo's artistic journey has come full circle - from local exhibitions to international recognition in:
Established galleries from USA to Asia
 Distinguished private collections worldwide

RK Zerrou (Zerrou Brothers)

Khalid Zrrou (Leiden, 1978) has a diverse background in mechanical engineering & photography. The background in mechanical engineering introduced him to drawing and designing in 2D and 3D. He taught himself the craft of working with different types of paper resulting in extraordinary results. This combination gives him the unique perspective on how different shapes from ordinary items can be transformed into art using paper. Inspiration is based on Moroccan and Islamic geometry found on mosaic tile art. The aspect of nature in the form of plants, water and wind also play a fundamental role in the inspirational process.
Ever since getting introduced to paperart he has been working endlessly on different works.
Rachid Zerrou (Leiden, 1982) quickly joined Khalid after seeing the results of his labour. Rachid also has a background in photography, and is experienced with 3D-printing as a result of his technical education. Both skills gave Rachid a headstart into self-learning the craft of paperart. He is continuously testing with new types of materials, improved technology of cutting paper and ways to improve the flexibility of the paper safeguarding the strength.
The results of his trials can be found in several unique works they have produced
